# How do I make a knitting or crochet chart?

https://rowandround.app/features/chart-maker · Unlock · Kallos Labs

> In Row & Round’s chart maker, you draw on a grid of up to 200 by 200 squares: colours for colourwork, symbols for cables and texture, or crochet symbols. The app builds the key, numbers the rows, and reads the current row out for you as you knit from it.

## How it works

Paint squares with your own yarn colours, fill a row or column, erase, copy and paste a repeat, mirror it, and undo or redo. Grey no-stitch squares handle shaping. The chart reads in the right direction for knitting flat, knitting in the round or crochet, and in working mode the bar steps along it row by row while the row is spelled out underneath, such as “k3, C4F, k3”. Charts can be exported as a PDF with their key. The chart maker is part of the one-time unlock.

## When people use it
