# How do I remember to decrease every few rows?

> Set an alert on a counter in Row & Round, for example “Decrease row” every 6 rows from the row you choose. When you arrive on row 6, 12, 18 and so on, a banner shows the note and your phone gives a double vibration.

## How it works

Each counter can have an alert every N rows with a short note, starting from the row you choose. The alert fires when you arrive on the due row, not after it, so you see it before you knit that row. The double vibration on an alert can be turned off in Settings.

## When people use it

- Decreases every 6th row on a sleeve
- Buttonholes every 20 rows on a cardigan band
- Colour changes in stripes

## Questions

### Can I have more than one alert?

Yes. Each counter has its own alert and note.

### Will I miss the alert if I’m not looking?

The double vibration tells you without looking, and the banner stays on the row.
