How Do You Read a Fair Isle Chart?
A Fair Isle chart shows one square per stitch, and each square's colour tells you which yarn to knit it with. In the round, start at the bottom right and read every round from right to left.

What Do the Symbols on a Knitting Chart Mean?
A blank square is usually a knit, a dot or dash a purl, and a circle a yarn over. Slanted lines are decreases, grey squares mean no stitch, and cable symbols span several squares. The chart's key is the final word.

How Do You Read a Knitting Chart?
Start at the bottom right square and work upward. Flat, right side rows read right to left and wrong side rows left to right. In the round, every row reads right to left.
