Can I count rows on my Apple Watch?
Yes. Row & Round on Apple Watch puts the count on your wrist, with +1 and Undo, and the Digital Crown can count too. Watch and iPhone share the same count.

Each +1 gives a light tap on the wrist, which lets your eyes stay on the stitches. Counts travel between Watch and iPhone, and when both have changed, the most recent change wins.
